Camp 4 Canada or the Porsche ice experience is in its 8th year at the Macaglisse circuit. For the entire month of Feb Porsche owners or just Porsche enthusiasts can come and take part in two days of expert instruction. Staring with the basics, like learning to let the Carrera S and Carrera 4S’s slide. With the traction and stability control off, the rear of the car is used like a pendulum to steer the car through the cones. All of the cars run on Nubian winter tires with studs. Other exercises include drifting around a frozen circle, brake induces slides and the Scandinavian flick, something used by every rally driver. Using the pendulum effect, steering with the rear wheels and letting the car slide offers the fastest way and most controlled way around the circuit.
This is just a short version of the two-day course, with more track time and instruction in some amazing cars.
