Level 2: Homemade Mozzarella Sticks
Ingredients:
- (1 pkg) Mozzarella Sticks
- (2 cups) Flour
- (2) Eggs
- (1/2 cup) Milk
- (2 cups) Panko
- (2 tsp) Salt
- (2 tsp) Garlic Powder
- (1 tsp) Dried Mustard
- (1 tsp) Paprika
- (3 tsp) Italian Seasoning
- (for frying) Oil

Unpackage your mozzarella string cheeses and set aside. Create a battering station by adding flour to one bowl, panko to another, and egg wash to the thrid. 

Add all of the listed seasonings to the panko and mix well. Individually dip your cheese sticks first into the flour, followed by the egg wash, and finally into the panko. Repeat steps 2 and 3 to ensure ultimate crispiness. 

Place your breaded sticks onto a pan and place in the freezer for at least 1/2 an hour. 

Heat your oil to 350º and carefully at your sticks one at a time (but don't overcrowd the pan). Cook for 3-4 minutes or until you see little bubbles of melted cheese coming out of the breading. 

Let rest on a wire wrack for a minute or two before digging in. 

Level 3: The Ultimate Mozzarella Sticks
Ingredients: 
- (1 pkg) Full-Fat Mozzarella
- (2 cups) Flour- (2) Eggs
- (1/2 cup) Milk
- (2 cups) Whole Wheat Panko
- (2 tsp) Salt
- (2 tsp) Garlic Powder
- (1 tsp) Dried Mustard
- (1 tsp) Paprika
- (3 tsp) Italian Seasoning
- (3/4 cup) Parmesan & Pecorino Romano Cheese
- (3 tsp) Parsley
- (for frying) Oil

Cut your mozzarella blocks or balls into cubes and set aside. Set up a breading station with flour, egg wash, and whole wheat panko (for extra crispines).

Spice your panko with the seasonings listed above as well as 1/2 cup shredded parmesan and pecorino romano cheeses. Dip your mozzarella pieces into flour first, followed by the eggwash, and finally the panko. Repeat steps 2 and 3 so each piece of cheese is well-coated. 

Add your breaded cheese to a pan and freeze for at least 1 hour. 

Heat your oil to 350º and fry each piece for 3-4 minutes being sure not to overcrowd your pan so they cook evenly. Remove to a wire rack for 1-2 minutes before serving up with your favorite sauce. 

No need to spend your money on those Chili's mozzarella sticks. Now you can make your own but even better.
