‘Like candy from a baby’: Donald Trump slams Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy

US President Donald Trump has slammed former president Joe Biden and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Trump appeared on 'Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo' on Fox News when asked about a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine.

During the interview, Trump accused Zelenskyy of not being "grateful" despite the US giving Ukraine “$US350 billion”.

“I just don't think [Zelenskyy is] grateful. We gave him $350 billion,” he said.

Despite Trump touting the $350 billion figure, actual estimates of money sent to Ukraine ranged from $119 to $183 billion since 2022.

President Trump also criticised former president Biden for donating a large sum of money while Europe sent much less.

“It was like taking candy from a baby what he did. He's a smart guy, and he's a tough guy, and he took money out of this country under Biden like candy from a baby - it was so easy with that same attitude,” he said.
