Dr. Eams plays as a therapy session throughout the album. It is clear that he is on a personal journey weaving through loss, grief, and the emotional baggage that lingers when it all settles in. "Dr. Eams" becomes his coping mechanism and where Casket finds refuge and solice.
Through Dr. Eams, he has found a way to transport himself and connect with those who are no longer here physically and finds himself addicted to visiting them through the duration of this album. He expresses his desire to continue to spend time with them, but makes it clear he is not ready to be where they are permanently. He finds strength in his family on "Courage".
Expresses the weight of delivering his grandmother's eulogy and displays his frustration with fans expecting new music while he is still mourning on "Bonnie Prince". And wrestles with the thoughts of some of his passed loved ones going on to Heaven (Pearly's) or Hell (Downstate in the "Pits") while comparing the two to an exclusive VIP club and a prison in the record "Comets".
Casket diving deep into his dreams are obviously theraputic and helping him to heal from loss, all the while giving us some of the most potent and emotionally charged Hip Hop in a while. We the fans, won from his suffering!
