Since its launch in 2020, the Tesla Model Y has been a huge success and became the world's best selling car in 2023 and again in 2024. That's not just the word's best selling EV, but best selling car regardless of the powertrain.
China is the world's largest car market and even there the Model Y has become the best seller, which is remarkable considering how expensive it is compared to many other Chinese made cars available.
This video was filmed in January 2025.
Update: Since making this video, it has now been reported that Tesla has received 100,000 orders for the new Model Y "Juniper" in just 10 days!
