The video was created in my home studio (aka The Cave), deliberately avoiding—as always—any kind of trendy, high-resolution, or conventional hype. The song and video were inspired by Albert Camus' The Myth of Sisyphus, but both contain deeper layers we can dive into and explore together in the face of futility and the void.

Personally, I see Camus as a starting point, not as a doorway to a happy ending when it comes to existential questions or the human condition. I even find his figure of 'the rebel finding joy in the struggle' falling short of my way of conceiving existence. For me, there are no happy endings. I have a love-hate relationship with this indifferent, cruel, and meaningless universe that, at the same time, is fascinating and awe-inspiring. I'm not pretending that life is joyful or meaningful—I'm confronting it as it is, in all its complexity, joy and pain. I hate to fool myself. The absurd isn’t something to "overcome" but something to live with. It’s a constant companion, a reminder of the fragility and futility of existence. It’s complicated for me to fully develop this here...

'Sisyphus' is the opening track of my new album, "The Void We Carry". The album features anti-mainstream virtual vocalist Marie Ork.
