Desirée Tullos is a water resources engineer who focuses on the sustainable management of rivers. Her research team, in partnership with the Yurok Tribe, is studying water quality and changes to the ecosystem where four dams are being removed along the Klamath River, the largest dam removal in history.“I believe that getting out there with students and putting our science in the hands of policymakers helps protect the places, lifestyles and livelihoods that define us as Oregonians.”
