Suet cakes are a fun treat to provide your flock during the colder months! You can use a wide variety of dry ingredients in your suet including dried fruit, unsalted nuts, grains, and seeds.We like using our grain feed, grubs, and herbs from @ScratchandPeckFeeds. This recipe is quick and easy. Our chickens love it!
We use lard for the fat source and render it ourselves. I have a full YouTube video on rendering lard in the blog post with the recipe.
