-- FR -- Chez REDEMPTION, c’est avant tout une histoire familiale bien de chez nous : le père Kuhn JS, bassiste de la formation, et ses deux fils Mathias Kuhn chanteur guitariste et Rod Kuhn batteur, tous biberonnés au Motörhead dès leur plus tendre enfance. Ce gang français donc, nous vient de la région de Metz et évolue évidemment en trio comme ses mentors. L’une des particularités du trio Redemption réside dans leur premier concert donné en 2017 où Rodolphe Kuhn et Mathias Kuhn avaient respectivement neuf et quinze ans !! Une année plus tard, ces gamins se retrouvaient propulsés au fameux Hellfest sur la scène principale devant quarante mille personnes, ça fait du monde ! Ils se faisaient remarqués alors par une prestation explosive qui a marqué les esprits. On a connu pire comme début, nous direz-vous ! Leur premier EP Live & Loud a d’ailleurs été enregistré live, et sera suivi en 2019 par un autre EP Angel très prometteur. En 2021 il déboule avec par leur tout premier album Three of a Kind qui confirme qu’ils ne sont pas là pour faire de la figuration. Quatre ans plus tard, ils nous proposent leur second opus The Hard Way qui permet de découvrir le chemin parcouru depuis leur formation et ce second méfait est tout bonnement une très belle réussite qui s’adresse aux fans de Motörhead, bien sûr, mais pas que : AC/DC, The Ramones, Monster Magnet, Metallica, la voix de Mat fait fortement penser à James Hetfield.

-- ENG -- Redemption is above all a family story from our region : the father Kuhn JS, bassist of the band, and his two sons Mathias Kuhn singer guitarist and Rod Kuhn drummer, all raised on Motörhead from their early childhood. This French gang therefore comes to us from the Metz region and obviously evolves as a trio like its mentors. One of the particularities of the Redemption trio lies in their first concert given in 2017 where Rodolphe Kuhn and Mathias Kuhn were respectively nine and fifteen years old!! A year later, these kids found themselves propelled to the famous Hellfest on the main stage in front of forty thousand people, that's a lot of people! They were noticed then with an explosive performance that left its mark. We've known worse as a debut, you might say !
Their first EP Live & Loud was recorded live, and was followed in 2019 by another very promising EP Angel. In 2021, they arrived with their very first album Three of a Kind, which confirmed that they were not there to make up the numbers. Four years later, they offered us their second opus The Hard Way, which allows us to discover the path they have taken since their formation, and this second misdeed is quite simply a great success, aimed at fans of Motörhead, of course, but not only: AC/DC, The Ramones, Monster Magnet, Metallica, Mat's voice is strongly reminiscent of James Hetfield.
