Everyday, after school is over and his homework finished, he would accompany his grandmother to go search for his uncle.
While other kids are playing, he's sitting in the corner holding a sign. His uncle should be 38 years old. He went missing at around the same age as the boy. He brings the flyers to school to spread awareness, he draws himself with his uncle whom he had never seen.
When the man brought him to the beach he had his uncle on his mind at all times. He wrote his name in the beach sand, on a pillar, and still holds out the poster. His entire childhood is haunted by a boy he's never seen who may not even be alive.
Before her husband died, he told her to bring their son home. So she's never given up home. Even at the expense of her grandsons' childhood. You can see the toll it takes on her and even her grandsons. I think at some point, she needs to move on or at least let her innocent grandchildren move on.
