RP: story !
Eve of Angst emerged from the shadows in 1988, a post-punk gothic band embodying the haunted beauty and melancholic angst of the underground. Their music, drenched in riff guitar and dark atmospheric synths, evokes the loneliness of city streets at midnight and the desperation of lives unlived.
Lyrics :
[Intro]
Uhhhh... yeah…
[Chorus]
I’ve got the fists of a fighhh-ter, uhhh
Heart of a warrrr-rior…
Scars of a soldieeerrr, yeah
And the hands… of a working man!
I’ve got the fists of a fighhh-ter
Heart of a warrrr-rior…
Scars of a soldieeerrr, yeah
And the hands… of a working man!*
[Verse 1]
There’s something to be said of the gutttter,
Uhhh… yeah
There’s something to be said of the gravvvve!
There’s something to be said for the better,
Just trying to find my way, my way!
I’ve never been perfect, nooo…
But who the fuhhh-uhh-uck are you to judge?
This is how I release my rage
I give absolutely noooo fucks!
[Chorus]
I’ve got the fists of a fighhh-ter, uhhh
Heart of a warrrr-rior, uhhh…
Scars of a soldieeerrr, yeah
And the hands… of a working man!
I’ve got the fists of a fighhh-ter, uhhh
Heart of a warrrr-rior, uhhh…
Scars of a soldieeerrr, yeah
And the hands… of a working man!*
[Bridge]
Uhhhhhh… yeahhh…
You still question my choices, yeah
Always talking, but have nothing to say…
You kept taking the worst and the best out of me…
When the tide wasn’t turning my way!
If I was homeless… if I was dead… or in a fucking cell!
You wouldn’t shed… one fucking tear, no way!
I know the story all too well… uhhhh
[Chorus]
I’ve got the fists of a fighhh-ter, uhhh
Heart of a warrrr-rior, uhhh…
Scars of a soldieeerrr, yeah
And the hands… of a working man!
I’ve got the fists of a fighhh-ter, uhhh
Heart of a warrrr-rior, uhhh…
Scars of a soldieeerrr, yeah
And the hands… of a working man!
[Outro]
Yeahhh… the fists of a fighter, the scars of a soldier… the hands of a working man.
