Meat processing facilities face significant challenges in reducing energy costs and emissions due to the need for high temperature heat in their processes. This industry-only briefing, presented in partnership with the Australian Meat Processor Corporation (AMPC), detailed the latest innovations available to meet the needs of this industry and options for transitioning. It included discussion of heat recovery opportunities and methods for calculating the heat pump capacity required after taking advantage of heat recovery and other energy savings.
