Brendan Fraser won the Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role at the 2023 Oscar's for is performance in The Whale, completing one of Hollywood's greatest career comebacks in recent history. He beat out competition from Elvis' Austin Butler, Colin Farrell, Bill Nighy, and Paul Mescal. He rose to fame in the 90's and early 2000's for roles in films like Encino Man, George of the Jungle, and The Mummy trilogy. After struggling to find roles for a number of years, Brendan Fraser landed the leading role of Charlie in The Whale, directed by Darren Aronofsky and also starring Sadie Sink of Stranger Things.
