The Utrecht early music festival is a great event of European baroque music. After several years devoted to Jean-Sébastien Bach, the organizers chose Vivaldi in 2017 for their thematic day in January.

The Vivaldi Day therefore stops in the heart of the Netherlands , a Protestant country that was a priori long closed to the brilliance and magnificence of Baroque art. But it is also the country of religious and artistic tolerance. Local artists will quickly appropriate the techniques and innovations coming from elsewhere of Europe. This beautiful tradition of openness continues today in a country that welcomes influences from all over the world. The Utrecht Festival is a beautiful reflection of this openness to the world and to the arts.
