This video talks about the different instruments that are required for a proper access cavity preparation in a root canal procedure.
Endodontic treatment can be divided into 3 main steps,
1) Access cavity preparation
2) Shaping and cleaning of the root canal
3) Obturation

However, an ideal access cavity forms the foundation of root canal procedure and it allows a straight line entry into canal orifices. On the other hand, an improperly prepared access cavity can interfere with the instrumentation, disinfection and obturation, therefore affecting prognosis of the endodontic treatment.
