Official Statement:
Finally! After 12 long years since the band's last single and 17 years since the last album, Elegeion have re-surfaced from the depths to announce their third full length album "Plight of the Heretic".
Written over the course of a decade and recorded, mixed and mastered over 14 grueling months from November 2020 to January 2022, pausing at length through the many lockdowns throughout the pandemic, the pain, angst and despair of the times truly came through on the album.
It comprises five tracks totaling almost 50 minutes of the gothic / black / doom metal that you have come to expect from Elegeion, with new members and new ideas added, whilst still firmly attached to the old formula using strings and beautiful female vocals.
"We're so proud of this achievement", says frontman and guitarist Anthony Kwan "especially after being in suspended animation for so long, I hope you will see that the Elegeion flame is still well and truly alive".
