One of the first "grunge" sounding bands to emerge in Seattle, Blood Circus only have one official release: The EP (later re-released as a full-length with bonus tracks) Primal Rock Therapy. It was one of the first records put out by Sub Pop and was one of the worst selling in the indie label's history. The album would tank and be panned by critics, but the ideas and the so-bad-it's-good sound pioneered by Blood Circus would continue on in many other bands around Seattle and western Washington.
