Los Angeles based Closedown are cited as one of the first US Shoegaze acts, with a cassette dating back to 1992. With a sound reminiscent of Slowdive's more louder and abrasive moments, Closedown take the aggressive ambient sound of Alesis Quadraverb's to the stratosphere. I talk to vocalist/guitarist Jerry Battle about 'Dissolve' the new Mini-album that revives old tracks from 'Nearfield' and re-masters them to fit in with 2024.
