Here’s why we avoid astrology, horoscopes and moon idolatry. Magi means magician. The Bible never says that the Magi were astrologers. They were following the biblical prophecy of the star to see baby Jesus, the prophesied Messiah. They were not following astrology, although we used to believe that lie in the new age to justify the sin of astrology. Every reference to astrology in the Bible is a condemnation of the practice.
