Hi everyone! This is my medieval celtic cover of Return to Innocence, by Difang and Igay Duana & Enigma. Another Patreon request :D Shout out to vitriol84, the patron who suggested this song 🙌

I checked the story of this track and it's enraging! It's an example of how colonialism is present everywhere, and music is no exception. Enigma used some vocal samples when composing this song, thinking they were public domain. Turns out they were some recordings that the French Government got from Difang and Igay Duana a few years back and listed as "anonymous", as part of a "Taiwanese aboriginal songs" compilation. Difang and Igay Duana were part of the Amis indigenous people from Taiwan, and the song they sing in the samples is originally called "Elders' Drinking Song". They were denied recognition and economic compensation until they brought the case to justice. They finally won the case and used the resources to empower Amis people and culture.
