Watch in HD!!! This is a drum play-through of the official champion theme for Rell, the Iron Maiden, in @leagueoflegends.

I had the privilege and opportunity to write, engineer, and track drums for Rell’s official theme in collaboration with the Riot Games music team. This was such an incredibly fun project to work on, and it was an amazing way to finish off 2020. Riot Games does such a great job recognizing the connection between music and gaming, and they’ve built this entire fascinating world around their games and music. It was definitely a huge highlight for me to be part of that crossover. The song itself is insane, and it’s very fitting for the character and her backstory. I was given a lot of freedom with the parts, and I wanted to channel Rell’s energy as much as possible when writing the drums for her theme.

Huge thanks to Brendon Williams and @riotgames. This was such a great project to work on, and I can’t thank them enough for bringing me onboard for the drums. Also, huge shoutout to Ecca Vandal, who absolutely killed it on vocals for this song.
