Here's a quirky pentatonic based blues lick from "You've Got To Love Her With A Feeling" by Freddie King - taken from the opening of the main solo. Have a go at playing this using your thumb and index finger for picking - as Freddie would do. It really makes the strings pop and adds to the expression!
