An all-encompassing Indie sound born from the beating heart of Birmingham, Alabama’s booming music scene, Zoo Culture’s recent successes arrive as no surprise following their 2019 single release of “Sundress”. Although the band’s debut release, a trio of unique compositions, “Moonflower” also released in 2019, the youth-filled “Sundress” driven by core instrumentation became an anthem and catapulted the Zoo Culture sound to the national stage. The nucleus group consisting of Alex Drummond (vocals/guitar), Cole Manasco (guitar), and Matthew Hardwick (drums) began to perform in regional festivals and open for notable acts as their audience continued to expand. Following an unprecedented 2020 shift in industry and world climate alike, the band took time to intentionally perfect and craft songs fit for the eventual live performance. The band’s latest single “Escape Plan” defines such live performing qualities, and exposes Zoo Culture’s ever maturing sound, but more importantly enriches feeling and memory.
