Former Howard government minister Peter McGauran affirms Australia’s core interest will remain “unchanged” regardless of a Trump or Harris presidency.

The US will decide the next leader of the White House in four days.

“A Trump win or Harris - the core Australian interest remains unchanged,” Mr McGauran told Sky News Australia.

“What will impact us is what Trump does to the wider world.

“It’s what Trump and Harris do elsewhere in the world, economy and geopolitical stability.”
