The 9-1 Lions are having a banner year, however, their blow out victories of 50 points or more have come against the NFL's weakest teams. For example, against Jacksonville, the Lions scored 52 points. Against the Packers, a little over a week later, Detroit 's high powered offense could only muster 17 points against a good Green Bay Team with a mid level defense. The score was 24-14 in favor of the Lions. 7 of the Lions points came off of a defensive pick 6. How good are the Lions? Do we over hype them because of their Head Coaches propensity to run up scores against weak opponents? Does running up scores show an inherent weakness in Campbell's perception of his teams ability? Or is a narcissistic tendency to prove the pundits that the Lions are no longer the laughing stocks of the NFC?
