In this film, Wolfram Winkel (left) and Thomas Hastreiter (right) are performing Steve Reich's iconic work "Clapping Music" as a Bavarian Schuhplattler. Both performers were born and raised in Bavaria, but the art of performing this traditional dance was new to both. Many thanks to Raphael (Wolfram's son - a skilled folk dancer) for his help in developing the movement sequences.
