Can the Elgato Cam Link be used in high-quality broadcast situations?

Camp Rhino was hosting a workout face-off and I thought it would be a great opportunity to try using my Elgato Cam Link in a live event scenario. Using my trusty Inovativ cart as a mobile workstation, I set up my MacBook Pro running OBS and presented a live stream to Camp Rhino's Facebook Live shooting on my FS7. Rather than sending the SmallHD 1703 output to the Cam Link, I sent the signal directly from the Teradek (the 1703 currently does not support audio output).

It's important to have a hard-wired (and decent) internet connection to help eliminate variables (Wi-Fi dropouts, poor connection, etc.). I'd recommend of having an upload speed of at least 5Mb/s for 1080p. Camp Rhino had upload speeds of 20Mb/s, so we had plenty of overhead. The stream output was set to 1080p although Facebook Live only accepts 720p to help preserve a high-quality image. In retrospect, I should have set the framerate to 30 fps; 24 fps looks strange and unnatural for live content IMO.
