Former British commander Richard Kemp says Iran is the “laughingstock” of the Middle East after a Hamas leader was “taken out under Iranian protection” in Tehran. “They’ve got to respond, they can’t afford this kind of embarrassment,” Mr Kemp said.
“The response also … has to come quickly because, in the Middle East, a delayed response is also seen as weakness.”
