Antes de hacer rock progresivo, noise o ambient, Ugo Fellone comenzó en esto de la música por la vía clásica. Y en este nuevo álbum del sello decide recuperar su primera composición con todo lo aprendido en estos 13 años de hacer música. Y es que en Quinteto, Op. 1 se sigue de manera rigurosa la forma sonata de un primer movimiento del periodo clásico, con Mozart y Haydn como referentes claros, pero sustituyendo la formación camerística por sintetizadores, como en su momento hicieron Wendy Carlos o Isao Tomita. Así, lo que inicialmente era un mero ejercicio de estilo se transforma en una experiencia sonora juguetona en la que se entremezclan la moogsplotaition, el chiptune, la síntesis FM, la estética MIDI y otras formas tan marcianas como humanas de entender la conexión entre las máquinas y nuestras intenciones y pasiones.

Before making progressive rock, noise or ambient, Ugo Fellone started in music through the classical route. And in this new album from the label he decides to recover his first composition with everything he has learned in these 13 years of making music. And in Quinteto, Op. 1, the sonata form of a first movement of the classical period is rigorously followed, with Mozart and Haydn as clear references, but replacing the chamber formation with synthesizers, as Wendy Carlos or Isao Tomita did at the time. Thus, what was initially a mere exercise in style is transformed into a playful sound experience in which moogsplotaition, chiptune, FM synthesis, MIDI aesthetics and other ways as martian as they are human of understanding the connection between machines and our intentions and passions.
