About Stripper McGee
---------------------------------
Stripper songs are usually celebratory or fun, and Stripper McGee is the exact opposite.
In this song, the character is a frail unattractive stripper who struggles with addiction and is pimped out by her significant other.
Stripper McGee drinks cheap wine, and though she may struggle with money at the end of a night, filling her addictions is considered a win. She takes a chance every night to get her fix and escape her current reality.
Stripper McGee is one of those tracks that I wrote many times over with different structure variations and lyric variations.
Sonically, pun intended, I wanted this song to be similar to Sonic Youth's cover of The Carpenter's "Superstar" because lyrically, from what I interpret in The Carpenter's theme, the character faces the same despair as Stripper McGee.

Stripper McGee Lyrics
---------------------------------
Pink stilettos and a small white shirt
No one told you that love would hurt?
Dancing for a dollar in one last chance
Cabaret sighs and xray eyes
Stripper McGee and the lonely pole dance
C'mon baby just make your chance
Stripper McGee and the lonely pole dance
C'mon baby just make your chance
Neon lights and L.E.D. brights
Cocaine lines & red boxed wines
Looking frail, empty and thin
One more line makes for the nights win
Stripper McGee and the lonely pole dance
C'mon baby just make your chance
Stripper McGee and the lonely pole dance
C'mon baby just make your chance
Stripper McGee and the lonely pole dance
C'mon baby just make your chance
Looking frail, empty and thin
One more line makes the nights win
Stumble and fall. baby, who to call?
Stripper McGee and the lonely pole dance
C'mon baby just make your chance

About The Dead Electrics
-----------------------------------------
The Dead Electrics features otherworldly synths and a beautifully dreadful buzz of electricity. The Southwest Texas-based band finds its influence in late 60’s classic rock, with a taste of 80’s post-punk and early 90’s alternative.
