GET TO KNOW ME A BIT BETTER…This is one of my favorite things to do: sometimes, I have a feeling about a nice drum groove, or a pattern. It can happen just out of the blue, or maybe I listen to something that triggers my creativity and curiosity.
Sometimes, all I need is to enjoy the thought, but another times it needs development with guitars and all.
That’s what we have here: a full arrangement that started with a feeling of a drum pattern with double strokes on the ride with the left hand, and then progressing to some off beat accents. Then after the drums are recorded I sit down and try to find some guitar riffs that can emphasize the rhythm pattern, or the opposite: the riffs can go on totally different directions to make it more tricky to understand what’s going on.
That’s the fun for me.
