According to Paul, "Whatever you're used to with KISS, this will pump it up that much more. If KISS is on steroids, this is a double dose... Usually, going into a smaller venue means eliminating things. The great thing about going into The Joint, it gives us the opportunity to add. Much in the same way as a Broadway show, when you have a permanent installation, you're not breaking down every night to travel. So, we can do things we wouldn't normally do" (USA Today, 7/14/14).
- Gene breathes fire following "War Machine," Tommy fires rockets following "Lick It Up," Gene flies to a special lighting stage (lowered from the ceiling) for "God of Thunder," and Paul flew to an elevated stage on the second level for "Love Gun." Following the song, he flew around the venue main perimeter to side stage on the other side for the end of the song and to start "Black Diamond." Other effects for the show included two large vertical video screens on either side of the stage, video screens rising to from the back of the stage into horizontal position above the stage and the audience area, cherry-picker elevators at stage left, center, and right; and plenty of pyro, laser lighting, and bombastic visual displays.
