Aerospace company Redwire has successfully completed the first deployment test for one of its Roll-Out Solar Arrays (ROSA). ROSAs unfurl like a roll of paper towel improving their use in constrained spaces. And the latest developments have made them lighter and more affordable than ever before.

They have been used on NASA’s DART (Double Asteroid Redirection Test), the International Space Station and NASA plans to include ROSAs on Gateway, an orbiting outpost crucial to NASA’s Artemis campaign. With this robust supply of power, Gateway will offer extensive capabilities for sustained exploration and research in deep space.
