The conference focuses on the theme of climate change and the oceans. As an Institute we are unique in bringing together professionals from all disciplines across the marine sector, and whilst many will be discussing climate change and no doubt the oceans, the aims of THIS discussion are singular; turning scientific understanding into practical applications. How can we apply ocean information to solutions and better practices?
The conference will address three key areas:
- one, the sustainable use of the ocean and its resources
- two, the role of the ocean in climate change mitigation
- and three, rising sea levels and coastal vulnerability
Among our esteemed speakers are Sir David King, Founder of the Centre for Climate Repair at Cambridge University, and Rick Spinrad, who leads the US government’s climate agency - the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
So, whether you join us online or in person in London, don’t miss out on this vital discussion on how we can use ocean information practically; connecting the science to the practitioners.
