Australian government donating tanks to Ukraine an ‘obvious decision’

Strategic Analysis Australia Director Michael Shoebridge has chimed in on Australia’s decision to gift 49 battle tanks to Ukraine.

Dozens of Australian tanks will be saved from the scrap heap and gifted to Ukraine instead.

“They are still very capable tanks ... they are a year older than they could have been getting to Ukraine,” Mr Shoebridge told Sky News host Chris Kenny.

“It’s taken the government over a year to make a very obvious decision.”
