📝: mgk went on The New York Times' podcast called "Popcast." During this interview with Jon Caramanica and Joe Coscarelli, mgk shared a story about how his daughter Saga hadn’t been born by her due date, but she finally came into the world once mgk's intro song "outlaw overture" was finished.

mgk said, "We had essentially wrapped the album [mgk's new album "Lost Americana"], and I go, we listen back to it, and I was like, 'Oh my God, there's no intro.' For the last three albums, from Hotel Diablo, Tickets [to My Downfall] to Mainstream [Sellout], there was always these really good intros. We realized there is no intro for this, and my baby was also supposed to be due, but she hadn't come yet. Me and Megan [Fox] were both like, 'This is so weird' cause she always has her babies early. What is she waiting on? I go in, and we do "outlaw overture," and the second I get to my house and plop my body in the bed, Megan's water broke. So, like, my baby was up there like, 'No, dad. You're gonna finish this album first. Saga was waiting for the intro."
