Doritos, one of the most popular snack foods in the world, weren't invented in a factory, but rather were first created in a restaurant inside Disneyland in Anaheim, California in the early 1960's. They were created from cutting up and frying leftover tortillas, and when the chips became a hit at the Disneyland restaurant, Frito Lay made a deal to mass produce them.
