Pluses:
This hotel is superb. Absolutely elegant, sophisticated and classy. Honestly,I haven't enjoyed a stay at a hotel until now. I will definately be back. To the staff I say thank you. Its was a memorable experience. I look forward to returning.
This resort does everything right!!! Beautiful hotel - the historic building is so swanky & seemlessly blended into the newer towers. So many outdoor spaces to enjoy - decks with great views, pools, restaurants, etc. The staff is attentive & friendly - never had better service! Can't wait to go back!
Minuses:
I was disappointed that I waited so long for my room to get ready. I was happy to have been updated. So naturally I was satisfied. I am use to an ocean view which I requested but hey you can't get everything. I loved the Mojitos in the lobby bar but when I purchased one at the pool bar it was more money. Again, its not a complaint but more uniformity in terms of beverage prices would be fair. The drink I received on my first day was actually the best....the pool Mojito I purchased at the pool bar was not very good and it cost me more. Puerto Rico is hot and tiny bugs are just part of the tropical experience. But I had called housekeeping about tiny little bugs near the food vanity and she responded with..."there's nothing I can do until 10am". Now up until then the service was less than I had experienced....when a guest calls about bugs....immediate action is warrented. So this was a missed opportunity for housekeeping to excercise the same level of service I had received thus far. But this is a simple training issue. Eventually, my housekeeping came and when I told her about the bugs she took leadership immediately and I inturn tipped her for her efforts.
