Trouble Code - C0397 transfer case clutch System Configuration Error Not Learned. - When we got this truck in, is was stuck in 4 Low. Tried to change the selection and it went into fail-safe, Neutralized on us. Imagine that happening in traffic? A nightmare! We got the new transfer case installed and it was still in 4 Low. Tried to change selection but the button was inoperable. Now what? C0569 was in memory and wont erase, so we needed to be able to have bidirectional control with the vehicle and re-learn, or teach the new motor its possition in corelation with its selector sensor. As you see here, it took less than a minute to do this.
Transfer case was severely damaged. After installation of a new one, it needs to be relearn. Otherwise it fail safe to neutral and the truck will not move or engage in any gear.
