The Water Shield Technique is a firefighting method that doesn't directly extinguish the fire. Instead, it protects firefighters as they approach the most dangerous areas. Using a high-pressure hose with a special nozzle, firefighters spray water in a tight cone, forming a protective barrier. This blocks the heat, diverts the flames' direction, and lowers the temperature on the front line. As a result, personnel can safely move closer, even to gas fires with a high risk of explosion.
