During a tense standoff, a group of robbers open fire on Kara, who mocks them for using bullets against her. Suddenly, Mr. Mxyzptlk reappears, magically yanks the guns from the robbers' hands, and turns them on the criminals themselves. As he pulls the trigger, Kara dashes in front of the bullets to shield the stunned men. Just then, the alien Parasite, thought to be long gone, emerges again. Kara and Mon-El prepare to fight, but out of nowhere, a mysterious hero in a Superman suit descends from the sky, effortlessly defeats the Parasite, and uses freeze breath to stop an oil truck explosion. Kara thinks Superman has arrived—until the figure turns, revealing it's Mr. Mxyzptlk once again! He has returned, not just to save the day, but to woo Kara.
