In our culture we have a party to confirm the engagement in public. Usually the rings are given before but we save it for the actual engagement date. The wedding vows (nikah) are being done today as well since there will be a year gap from now until the actual wedding reception. Technically they'll be married today as well in Islamic terms but not officially on paper, if you get what I mean.Comment with your wishes for my sister and her husband, and like this video.
