Well, we promised you some really heavy stuff these past few weeks, and after DESTRUCTION and LORDI, so we're continuing with ARCH ENEMY now !! Despite the departure of guitarist Jeff Loomis, the Swedish melodic death metal quintet remains solid around the historical core group Michael Amott (guitarist and main composer), bassist Sharlee d'Angelo, and drummer Daniel Erlandsson. They release Blood Dynasty (@centurymedia), a powerful and varied twelfth studio album, as melodic as you can get, with even a few risks, including the magnificent French cover, please, by the Quebec-born singer Alissa White-Gluz of the song "Vivre libre" by the cult French heavy metal band BLASPHEME from 1985 !!! That's ten years before the founding of the benchmark that ARCH ENEMY has become in terms of melodic death metal.
