This generation of parents whose objective has been to lift their children’s self-esteem and tell them that they can be or do anything in the world have not adequately allowed their children to learn the requisite skills ,who solve their children’s problems are clearly not helping them grow their own problem-solving skills, and by doing everything for their children, the non-verbal message is that ‘you can’t do it well enough yourself.’
