Rangda is, on the Balinese Hindu mythology, the incarnation of Evil - the demon queen of the "leyaks" (humans whose spirit can be detached from the body and wander at night in pursue of evil deeds). She possesses and leads an army of evil witches. She is also pictured herself a widow witch, black-magic, practitioner, whose daughter couldn't get a husband, because of everybody's fear. Her colours are red, white and black, and she appears in different forms throughout these dances.
Originally, this traditional ceremony lasted over two hours, and I try to capture the key moments, to keep it understandable.
