Costallic is the creation of Anders Martinsson, a dedicated music and audio enthusiast currently residing in Kungsbacka, Sweden. Influenced in equal amounts by both early and contemporary ambient works and soundtracks. His focus lies in bringing cinematic atmospheres and musical landscapes to his audience.
Simplicity is the guiding principle behind 'Perception State' as this shortens the distance between idea and result, using an entirely hardware-based instrument setup without midi also adds a human element to the music. Often no more than one instrument is used at the time for each track, all tracks are recorded and mixed using multitrack software.

Ambient has always been there, adding to any experience or reflection without forcing any context upon the listener by itself, it can shape your focus, and reinforce emotions or a state of mind, all while being by itself emotionally neutral, in a way the feelings it brings originates from the listener.
