Here is the ultimate orange guide. 

1. Regular Orange
A regular old orange is sweet, tart, and super juicy. 

When you go to peel it, you'll notice that the skin is nice and tight against the fruit, which makes it hard to peel. 

2. Blood Orange 
Aside from the color being very different from other orange varieties, blood oranges are more tart, less sweet, and contain less juice. 

The peel is thicker than other types of oranges, which makes them a bit easier to peel. 

3. Mandarines
Mandarines are far less juicy than regular oranges, but their flavor is a lot sweeter. Peeling them can be a challenge, but that flavor makes it worthwhile. 

4. Clementines
Clementines are a type of mandarin, so they have the same incredible sweetness, with more tart notes coming through. 

Not as juicy as an orange, but definitely one of the easier ones to peel. 

5. Sumo Oranges
Sumo oranges are a personal favorite of mine. They're super sweet, seedless, and very juicy. 

Not the easiest to peel, but very much worth it.
