
If this affirmation feels out of reach to you, don't give up! Be compassionate and gracious toward yourself. Recovery isn't something you can rush. It takes time and consistent support to work your way toward OCD recovery.
It also takes the right kind of therapist, more specifically a therapist who has experience and training specific to OCD. If you're not sure where to start, look for therapists who identify themselves as OCD specialists and/or ERP-trained therapists (Exposure and Response Prevention).
