More than 100 million Americans across the United States are under heat alerts with record-breaking highs in New York City causing outages and delays on the subway system. Nationwide, 24 cities set new record highs on Tuesday with Little Rock and Jacksonville hitting heat indexes of 110 and 118. NBC’s Sam Brock reports and TODAY's Al Roker tracks the latest forecast.
