In Module 1 of the "Hand Techniques" lab, I demonstrate and discuss the basics of "The Moeller" technique. I had the pleasure of studying with Jim Chapin for many years. Jim was the student of Sanford Moeller, the namesake of the main stroke movements we use on the drums. Through this direct study of this invaluable technique, you will gain power, speed, and control in your playing. Creating multiple notes with one movement, adding internal dynamics and creating a better feel in everything you play on the instrument, are just some of the benefits of this technique.
